Background Information:
At a pre-consultation event in October 2022, local people supported the idea of developing a Parish Neighbourhood Plan. This plan will sit alongside National and Regional planning policies and will be considered by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk when planning matters are being decided. The Parish includes Burnham Overy Town, Burnham Overy Staithe and Burnham Overy Mill.
More information on the purpose of Neighbourhood Plans these are found on the Neighbourhood Planning website.

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group
The Parish Council convened a Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group (NPSG) which has secured a grant for the development of the plan and overseen the appointment of a planning consultant to assist with the process.
The Planning Consultancy is: Collective Community Planning.
Consultation and Survey
Formal consultation to shape the content of the plan is now underway with a survey to be delivered to each household in the Parish. All occupants of households are encouraged to complete a survey alongside other stakeholders interested in the future development of the Parish.
An online version of the survey can be completed or paper copies can be printed: Survey
A drop-in event is also taking place in Burnham Overy Village Hall on Sunday 7th April 2024 from 11am-1pm where Steering Group Members will be on hand to assist.
